The Divider in Chief
- Written by Chuck Floyd
The “Divider-in-Chief” is tearing down our country again and offering only liberal suggestions with no solutions for jobs, illegal immigration, energy policy, or reduced spending to stop the surge in our national debt. He will make class warfare his central theme since he has no record to run on due to his extreme socialist programs. He talks a good game, but does not follow through, except to create more regulations, spending, and other socialist / big government solutions.
Obama’s speech has started his campaign of dividing the country by pushing tax increases and excessive regulations, and imploring voters to embrace the Democratic Party’s "pro-jobs, pro-growth" agenda which has not worked and has caused everyday costs of food, fuel, etc. to go up 30% or more while he has been in office. The housing crisis is the fault of the liberals in Congress since they made banks loan money to individuals who could not afford to repay the loans. Look at the campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie to the Democrats.
Obama did not talk about the 20,000 jobs and the immediate energy benefits to our nation of the proposed Keystone Oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast. He would rather get in bed with the extreme environmentalists and give billions of our tax dollars to wind and solar companies that go bankrupt.
If Obama keeps spending money that we do not have and have to borrow from China, the United States will be like Greece, Spain and other European countries now facing economic catastrophe. We have to stop federal spending and live within our means so we can bet our fiscal house in order. This requires leadership and Obama does not have this critical quality.
Obama's frequent accusations that GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill have blocked his agenda for partisan purposes are false. He needs to ask Senator Harry Reid why he has not passed a budget and other legislation for over 1,000 days. Reid does not want to bring up legislation due to Obama’s socialist policies since even members of his own party do not agree with Obama. The Republican House has passed bills to reduce borrowing, reform entitlements and encourage new job creation, only to be shot down by the president and his Democrat Senate allies.
Republicans believe in American values of hard work, capitalism, family, dignity and the individual citizen. We want the government to serve the people rather than supervise them, who trust Americans enough to tell them the plain truth about the state of our nation, and to lay before them a specific, credible program of change big enough to meet the emergency we are facing with our economy and national debt.
This year Americans will have a choice: Do we want to follow Obama down his path of bigger government, unsustainable debt, higher taxes and energy costs, a government takeover of health care, and anemic economic growth? Or, do we want to put our nation on a path toward true prosperity and economic security?
This election is critical since we as a nation cannot afford Obama for another four years in the White House. The Executive Branch manages the federal government and appoints thousands of people to senior positions who determine the direction of our government The White House is the most critical race this year and the GOP must target Obama and kick him out of office.>
